On October 13th, Dr. Kelli Stajduhar delivered a keynote presentation at the Public Health Palliative Care International Conference in Blue Mountains, Australia. An article based on her presentation is now available in the journal Progress in Palliative Care. In developing the presentation, Kelli was inspired by work of our ePAC collaborative and Inner City Action Team working to improve the end-of-life experiences of marginalized populations. Read the article, “Provocations on privilege in palliative care: Are we meeting our core mandate?” and other keynotes from the conference here.
The picture featured in this blog post is a zine page designed by one of our Inner City Action team members. We asked the group to depict what palliative care means to them and we were inspired by the results! We are working on compiling these pages into a self-published magazine (i.e. zine) to circulate in the community and online.
